I am first and foremost a 16 year old teenager, whose commitment began simply through volunteering with an orphanage in Togo.
This hands-on experience deeply impacted me and shaped my perspective.
It led to the conviction that it was both possible — and necessary — to do more.
Today, Roots and Wings works to create a structured and lasting impact for the most vulnerable children.
Our Mission
Roots and Wings is dedicated to enriching the lives of children at La Solution orphanage in Lomé, Togo. Our focus is on raising awareness and funds through impactful storytelling that highlights the children’s experiences and the changes brought by your contributions.

Every orphan has a story behind their smile and their shining eyes. Everyone should have the opportunity to share that story, and have people care about it. Here, you can find out some stories from these children, who have endured a lifetime of harship in their few years on this earth.

Learning
With donations, help a child reach their dreams and follow them the whole way.
Support
By donating, we can purchase sheep for the orphanage. One sheep is said to make profit for one child´s whole educational journey. One sheep also makes two new ones before being sold.
Transportation is key
Children need a way to get to college or formations. The orphanage needs ways to carry large amounts of resources to sustain themselves. Transportation such as bicycles or Togolese tricycles could change the orphanage. With multiple donations, this is a project that can be handled easily and urgently.
