What We've Done

Clean Water

The clean water project provides the orphanage with safer and more reliable access to drinking water.
It reduces the children’s exposure to waterborne diseases and improves everyday hygiene and sanitation.
By investing in essential infrastructure, we are creating a healthier environment for the children to grow, learn and thrive.
A basic necessity, but a lasting foundation for everything that comes next.

Bathrooms and Showers

The bathrooms and showers project provides the children with safer, cleaner and more private facilities for their daily hygiene.
It improves sanitation and helps reduce the risk of illness and infection.
More than an infrastructure upgrade, it gives the children a greater sense of dignity, comfort and security.
Better hygiene, healthier children, greater dignity.

Chicken Coop

The project includes 450 broiler chickens and 500 laying hens, creating both food and recurring income for the orphanage.
With an initial investment of approximately 6 million FCFA, the farm is designed to generate revenue through egg and chicken sales of aroun 9 million FCFA (13000€) for the first year and then around 14 million FCFA (21000€) per year.
Profits will be reinvested into food, education, healthcare and future projects.
The goal: turn a one-time donation into a lasting source of income.

Hospital Partnership

The hospital partnership will provide the children with regular health check-ups, creating consistent access to medical professionals.
These visits will help identify health issues early, monitor the children’s wellbeing and respond to their individual needs.
For the orphanage, it creates a more structured approach to healthcare rather than relying only on treatment when problems arise.
Regular care today, healthier futures tomorrow.

Formation Project

We worked with the 18-year-olds at the orphanage to create individual plans for building a source of income and finding employment.
Each young adult identified a goal and the skills, resources and steps needed to reach it.
We then helped turn those plans into action: from providing sewing machines for the girls beginning sewing businesses to purchasing technology equipment to pursue work in IT.
The goal: not simply to support them after the orphanage, but to help them build the means to support themselves.

Tech Room

We created a technology room with computers to give the children their first regular access to digital tools and resources.
The room opens opportunities for online learning, digital skills and access to information far beyond the orphanage.
It also provides older children with a space to develop practical skills that can support their future education and employment.
A few computers today, a world of possibilities tomorrow.

Play room

We transformed an unused room into a playroom filled with books, games and activities such as chess, giving the children a space to enjoy themselves and learn through play.
The room encourages curiosity, creativity and social interaction, while providing a safe place for the children to spend time together.
A simple room, filled with new ways to play, learn and imagine.

Trycicle

We provided a three-wheeled transport vehicle with a large rear trunk, giving the orphanage a practical way to move people and goods. It allows staff to travel to the banana plantation located several kilometres away, bringing back produce to feed the children or sell locally.

It also makes it easier to transport goods to and from the market and help older children travel to their vocational training and formations.

One vehicle, countless journeys: connecting the orphanage to the opportunities around it.

Malaria Vaccination Campaign

Through our partnership with the local hospital, we launched a malaria vaccination campaign to help protect the children against one of the major health risks in the region.
The campaign provides the children with preventive protection while strengthening the orphanage’s connection with local healthcare professionals.
Combined with regular health monitoring, it contributes to a safer and healthier environment for the children.
Protecting their health today, so they can build their future tomorrow.

Building Better Infrastructure 

We have invested in improving the orphanage’s living spaces and infrastructure, including the construction of a new building for the girls and the installation of new ceilings in existing areas. These improvements make the centre safer, more comfortable and better suited to the children’s daily needs.

Rather than simply maintaining the orphanage, these projects help create a proper environment in which the children can live, study and grow.
